Conditions of sale and customer relation I desire: The perfect sale in my view: You love the car, wire me a deposit, come over and check out the car within 72 hours, hand me the balance and I hand you the keys and Title, then you drive off into the sunset.

- Speaking of sunsets, I do not wish to do business at night. Night means no light! no exceptions.

- I do not take trades such as Harleys, Mustangs, Aircraft, jewelry, guns, copies of loan applications, or paintings by John McEnroe unless they belonged to Sadaam Hussein... I only take cash or as good as; certified checks, money orders... no exceptions.

- I feel one test drive is adequate to check out the car, and if you are not familiar with standard transmissions, I will drive for you. You can sit back and enjoy the ride.

- Speaking of enjoying the ride, no tire kickers or joy riders allowed. I am only interested in serious buyers for these cars. I will try to feel you out on the phone, and if I feel you are kicking the idea around, I won't waste your time and mine. If you tell me after seeing the car and loving it that you'll be back in two days with the money, please don't call me asking to see the car again after three weeks have transpired. I'll be on vacation.

- I may bargain a little, but my cars are priced to sell. If there are any outstanding issues, and they would be small ones, I will give consideration for them.

- Out of South Florida buyers must pay for shipping. If you choose to ship, I can arrange reasonable shipping on open carriers.

- Out of state buyers will sign a written agreement for deposit. Agreed upon purchase dates will vary, but I will allow a seven day grace on deposit to hold the car. Buyers that don't show up after that time will forfeit deposit. If you change your mind during that time period, I will refund 100 percent of your deposit. 500 dollars is fine.

- Once my cars are ready to sell, I don't do any customizing for the individual. I can, but the price will be adjusted to cover labor and parts.

- Out of country buyers will have to work out importing with their own customs offices. I tried in one case to help a guy from Norway who was very interested in the car get the car into his country. In some cases the 356 will have the original VIN from the Beetle removed and reriveted to the trunk of the 356 fiberglass body. In other cases the DMV will issue a sticker with their own VIN. The guy needed the VIN to be the original Volks VIN riveted to the chassis. In this case my car had the VIN the DMV of Florida issued for the car. He wanted the car to be imported as an original vintage Beetle so that he received a big break in import fees. I bent over backwards for the guy. The original chassis numbers were inside the orignal trunk and dash of the donor Bug. They do not exist after choping up the Bug for 356 body fitting. The only one left is the one on the chassis tunnel. To get to it, you need to jig through fiberglass an inch thick after the body is bolted on, forget about it friends, I won't do that again, and still didn't have access to the VIN plate. What you see on my cars is what you get... sorry, but you got to pay the import fees or extended fees if they apply to your country. I offer you a clear Title and the VIN that is there, that's it.

No geeks from the Revenge of The Nerds who think they know how to build Corvettes.... know how to build, build a Speedster, and they will come! That's what I'd do.

If I can think of anything else, I'll be back to write it here, but don't think of me as a hard azz. I'm a hobbyist, not a car salesman. I love these cars as much as James Dean himself, and want to work with people who appreciate them in much the same way.

Good luck in your car shopping efforts.

Thanks for checking out my site and feel free to write at JFScaturo@Hotmail.com.

Not related to, but important for people who want to drive this car on a daily basis: These cars like the originals are not meant to drive in the rain. If you drive this car in a downpoor, you will get wet. Even with the top up and side curtains, you will be swimming in it. California, dry states, and Countries with drought can ignore this paragraph.
